Praying In 3D

Praying In 3D involves:

· Being Dependent: Set your hope on God so He would Deliver her with the help of your prayers and many would give thanks for the gracious favor bestowed upon her in answer to the prayers of many (2 Cor. 1:8-11).

· Being relentlessly Diligent in bringing an individual or need to Jesus in prayer believing Jesus can change any situation (Mark 2:1-12).

· Praying Desperately, the same way you would want someone to pray for you if you were in their place (Matt 7:7-12).

There are three passages of Scripture that drive Praying In 3D. Think of your prayer request in context of the verse references below where key aspects of the passages are highlighted to undergird your request.

First: 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 speaks of God’s deliverance in extreme hardship and how the prayers of the Church play a key role in the extent of God’s deliverance.  So that MANY will give thanks when they see the deliverance of God.   We know that ultimately people need to see and savor the Greatness of God more than anything.  There is nothing better than knowing God.  May God be pleased to Show Himself Great in answer to the prayers of His people!

Second: The Mark 2 story is of the paralytic who was brought to Jesus against all odds believing that Jesus could change the situation. The amazing thing about this story to me is that the paralytic didn’t do anything.  His friends brought him to Jesus and Jesus saw THEIR FAITH and healed him.  That is amazing!!! As the Church we need to bring people with their needs to Jesus and perhaps in his mercy he might see your faith and meet their needs.

Third: Matthew 7:7-12 is the Ask, Seek, Knock prayer passage that reveals that persistence in prayer is crucial and that our heavenly Father is so much greater than us and will certainly answer his children when the call upon him.

Here is the TWIST: Verse 12 is a verse that practically everyone knows even if they are not Christians…it is the Golden Rule!  Jesus puts the Golden Rule right in the middle of a context of prayer.  So it could easily read…Therefore, the way that you want people to pray for you, that is how you should pray for them. Jesus wants us to pray with the same intensity that we would want someone to pray for us if we were in their place.

Who should pray? Anyone and everyone. small groups, Sunday School classes, youth groups, families…

When should your pray? Early and often. Over meals, when you get up & go to bed, in your car…

We know that God is Zealous to show himself great in the lives of his children.

Praying In 3D is a clear biblical path for God Exalting Blessing to the Body of Christ.

By His Mercy,
